Regina Beach’s history

Regina Beach sits on the shores of the south end of Last Mountain Lake in south central Saskatchewan, on Highway 54 close to where Highway 11 meets the Qu'Appelle Valley. In summer it becomes an active lakeside resort town, with its neighbour Buena Vista just to the east, the two divided by 16 Street.

For most of its history, Regina Beach students were bused to nearby Lumsden. That changed in 1989, when the town opened its own K-8 elementary school.

The Regina Beach Golf Club, a 9-hole, par 35 course with a restaurant and lounge, opened in 1969 along the south side of town. Along the lakeshore, from Centre Street South to 16 Street, the provincial recreation site offers a large sandy beach, picnic area, beach volleyball courts, a playground, a boat launch and a fish filleting building. Just off shore, Sask Aquatic Adventures runs a water adventure park, one of several in the province.
